Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the planning of Singapore Biennale 2022

  • Travel and hospitality arrangements for over 10 artists

  • Designed a 20-page travel guide SOP to bring in artists from overseas

  • Compiled corporate rates with over 10 hotels

Being part of Singapore Art Museum has exposed me to the local contemporary arts scene, much different than what I was taught in class. Time management and accountability are the two main values I have learnt during the course of my 6-month internship, especially when planning for Singapore Biennale.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Cashiering duties with ViVi POS system

  • Topping preparation for beverage making

  • Making pearls from scratch

  • Beverage making

  • Customer service duties such as serving customers and packing their drinks, as well as packing orders for takeout orders from GrabFood and FoodPanda

  • Managing kitchen such as brewing tea and cooking pearls

Working in F&B industry, it is important to serve customers graciously and efficiently. Naturally this made me more time-conscious about preparing the drinks to serve it to customers within the shortest amount of time. I was able to apply my team player skills into work and foster good communication among my colleagues.

May 2021 - July 2021

CHICHA San Chen
Bubble Tea Tearista

CHICHA San Chen is a Taiwanese brand with a mission to make high-quality fresh brewed teas accessible to discerning tea drinkers.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Cashiering duties with ViVi POS system

  • Measuring tea leaves for tea brewing

  • Topping preparation for beverage making

  • Customer service duties such as serving customers, make recommendations and packing orders for both walk-in and takeaway orders such as GrabFood and FoodPanda

Working at CHICHA has definitely challenged my communication skills especially conversing through Chinese since being known as a Taiwanese brand. This provided me with the opportunity to brush up on my language skills. It is important in being very precise in beverage preparation in order to deliver the best quality of drinks. I was able to apply my previous work experiences thus it was a smooth transition into the new workplace.
